Dr. Wherry received his medical degree from the University of Toronto. He then completed his general surgery and urology residencies at McGill University. In addition, he completed extensive post-graduate training in microsurgery and received a Masters of Science for research in the area of tumor immunology.

He is the author of many published scientific articles and has served as a clinical investigator for experimental prosthesis design. Dr Wherry is certified by the American Board of Urology.
